So I got the teeth fixed, sorta. The dentist did a filling thing and will cap them later, waiting to make sure there is no root damage. Actually they aren’t bad at all and they are straighter than they were to begin with, so I got that going for me. My eyes are still a wee bit purple but much better.
A weird thing happened, I’ve had three people say to me “that’s why I don’t ski”. Seriously. Um, if the possibility of injury kept me from doing things I’d never get out of bed! I’ve been skiing over 20 years and this is my first injury, no biggie. While the face injury was momentarily devastating, it was certainly a weekend for the memory book!
Actually my next ‘super dangerous’ adventure I think will be a bike ride! Yep, a self-contained bike ride from Burlington, Iowa to Jackson, Mississippi! It’s a major undertaking/challenge, but I am excited about it. It started as a wild hair idea but now I’m kinda driven to do it. Steve encouraged me to give it a go and I appreciate that. The details, route, and lodging well, I’m workin on them….
