So I’m in the process of planning this bike trip. Iowa to Mississippi a two-week trip all by myself. I know what you are thinking….what, why? I have gotten many different reactions when I tell people; doubt, fear for my safety. Actually I doubted myself to begin with, but I’ve gotten past that, whew.
I’ve been reading maps, stories, online accounts everything. I will most likely be prepared for everything and nothing by June. I plan to leave in June, exciting! The route is roughly planned out (it is sure to change) next task is lodging. The route was fairly easy as there are many trails and maps out there. Lodging is going to be a chore. While I will be carrying a tent I hope to only have to use it say in someone’s backyard. Hey safety first, I’m really not interested in camping alone in any campground. I plan to stay in stay in a hotel or two but not many as I don’t want to rack up costs.
Anyway I am excited. This should be good for me. I just read an article that stated “Just do it, you can always turn back.” What’s the worst that could happen? Ha!
