I need a new job, seriously. Don’t get me wrong; I like what I do. But the system I have to work within is seriously flawed. Plus the people, oh the people. Let me tell you, you haven’t worked til you’ve worked in an office that is ninety percent women. Oh and if at 40 you are considered young amongst your coworkers….sweet baby Jesus. Speaking of babies I was in a meeting and I swear everyone’s “fun summer thing” included babysitting or having a grandchild. Sorry I can’t identify….oh wait I personally needed a babysitter on Ragbrai that one day. And my bottle of Chardonnay is about the size of a small baby!
See this is why I try not to talk about work. Oh boy the stories I could tell you about the bat shit crazy stuff I go through on a daily basis. It’s like working in the twilight zone. An actual statement from a meeting “They are not gonna need form B, but form B is a required form. So they’re gonna need that? Yes.” (“Um, what?”)
More wacky women workplace stuff. They choose to explain in-depth things that we have been doing for years. Things that are new or recently changed, yea you’re on your own, check the manual! Oh, then we were working with a new program, of course everybody but me, logged in fine. Three people felt a need to come ‘help’ me. Like if they clicked OK it would some how miraculously work. Nope still not working why, because THEY spelled my name wrong in the setup.
So time to get familiar with career builder.
Dear God- please let me find a job with reasonable pay, something I enjoy and MEN (preferably young/single). That's all thanks!
edit: Just witnessed some awesome passive aggressive behavior amongst my coworkers, awesome!
