Two weeks til Thanksgiving. I have always liked Thanksgiving. The food and all the people getting together be it family or friends, it’s just comforting. It’s ten times better than Christmas because there is no pressure of all the gift giving. About six years ago I made my first turkey and it was awesome.
What I don’t understand is how people get all stressed about Thanksgiving dinner. It really is not that big a deal. No matter how many times sit-coms and movies show people burning or serving a frozen turkey, it ain’t that complicated. Now they have downloadable Thanksgiving checklist, tv shows and local news covering how to cook a turkey. And let’s not forget the Butterball hotline.
Back in the day maybe it was a big deal, but now a days if you can’t manage a Thanksgiving dinner you’ve got serious issues or you are a complete moron. Dressing and mash potatoes now come in a box, cranberry sauce, green beans and pumpkin pie come in a can, and turkeys have built in pop up timers.
Thanksgiving should be simple and fun like those turkey’s you made by tracing your hand. I hope you can relax and enjoy yours……I will, as soon as I finish this construction paper pilgrim hat!

I love Thanksgiving too!
I've never cooked a Turkey... but it doesn't sound that bad. I'd rather cook a turkey, than stand in long crazy shopping lines, trying to find the perfect gift :)
